Liberty's tailgate fills the Flames Club lots wrapped around Williams Stadium, where the Pink Lot gives each pass one space to park and one to tailgate, and spills into the North Campus Garage behind the LaHaye Ice Center by single-game pass. RVs and trailers go to the White Lot on East Campus, off Liberty Mountain Drive.

Quick answers

What time do the Liberty lots open?

For the 2026 home opener, parking lots, ticket offices and Tailgate Town opened 4 hours before kickoff, and ADA shuttles from the North Campus Garage start at 8 a.m. Roads around Williams Stadium close 3.5 hours before kickoff.

Can you grill at Liberty tailgates?

Liberty's football parking page doesn't post a grill rule. It does say every tailgate has to stay inside its assigned space without taking other spaces or blocking traffic.

Can you drink at Liberty tailgates?

Liberty's game-day pages don't post a lot alcohol rule. Outside food and drinks, other than 1 unopened bottle of water, aren't allowed into Williams Stadium, and neither are coolers.

Do you need a ticket to tailgate at Liberty?

Liberty's lot rules don't require a game ticket, but you need a parking pass for the Flames Club lots and the North Campus Garage. Flames Fan Fest doesn't need a game ticket at all.

How do you buy parking at Liberty?

The reserved and priority lots are for Flames Club members. Single-game paid parking is in the North Campus Garage behind the LaHaye Ice Center, sold in advance online. Every pass is digital and tap-to-scan. Public parking is in the Academic Commons and Runk and Pratt garages and the Thomas Road Baptist Church lots.

Where to park

The lots around Williams Stadium are Flames Club lots. Everyone else buys a garage pass or uses public parking and the game-day shuttle.

Reserved lots
Silver, Red and Blue: assigned spaces for Flames Club members, tailgating inside your space, no RVs.
Pink Lot
The Flames Club tailgate lot: each pass gets 1 space to park and 1 space to tailgate. Enter and exit on Regents Parkway. No RVs or trailers.
Priority lots
Yellow, Orange, Purple, Brown, Lime and Teal, for Flames Club members. Lime and Teal have the most grass around them.
North Campus Garage
Single-game paid parking behind the LaHaye Ice Center, with tailgating inside your space. Also the ADA lot.
RVs and trailers
White Lot only, on East Campus off Liberty Mountain Drive. It's a Flames Club priority lot.
Public
Academic Commons Garage, Runk and Pratt Garage and the Thomas Road Baptist Church lots.
Accessible
North Campus Garage. ADA shuttles run from 8 a.m. to Fan Fest and Gate 1, and back until an hour after the game. No golf cart shuttles from other lots.

Every lot has its own in-and-out route. Look yours up on Liberty's game-day parking routes page before you drive.
Break the space rule and you can be removed from the lot or towed at your expense.
No pass? Park in a public garage and catch a game-day shuttle, which started 3.5 hours before kickoff at the 2026 opener. For the Thursday night game, some campus lots close during the day, so check Liberty's Midweek on the Mountain parking page.

Where the party is

Liberty's tailgate lives in the Flames Club lots wrapped around Williams Stadium, with Fan Fest indoors next door and Tailgate Town lined up along the walk to Gate 1. Your setup stays inside your own space, so the crowd is tight and the walk is short.

The tailgate lot

The Pink Lot

Flames Club members get 1 space to park and 1 to tailgate, by the LaHaye Ice Center off Regents Parkway.

The family stop

Flames Fan Fest

Free and open to everyone inside the Indoor Practice Facility, from 2.5 hours before kickoff until 30 minutes before. Lawn games, inflatables, the cheerleaders and Sparky. The band warms up there 45 minutes before kickoff.

The reserved row

Tailgate Town

Liberty's own reserved setups right outside Gate 1: a tent, tables, chairs and 1 parking pass, already set up when you arrive. It opened with the lots at the 2026 home opener.

What to eat

Liberty doesn't post a grill rule for its lots, so plan a spread that works without one, or confirm before you bring fire.

Getting out

Every Liberty lot has a set exit route. Your options, best first:

  1. Follow your lot's exit route. Silver, Red and Orange exit to the Wards Rd. tunnel. Yellow, Purple, Lime and Teal go south on University Blvd. to 460 West.
  2. Ride the shuttle. ADA shuttles run between Gate 1 and the North Campus Garage until an hour after the game.
  3. Head east from the White Lot. It exits on Liberty Mountain Dr. to 460 East.
  4. Skip this

Leave at the final whistle. Just know every lot empties onto the same few roads.

First time here?

  • Your tailgate stays inside your assigned space.
  • All parking passes are digital. Load yours before you leave home.
  • Roads close 3.5 hours before kickoff, so arrive early.
  • RVs and trailers park in the White Lot only.
  • Fan Fest is free and opens 2.5 hours before kickoff.
  • Clear bag only, and no coolers into the stadium.

Visiting? How to join a tailgate

Flames Fan Fest is free and needs no game ticket, so it's the easy first stop. Then walk the lots, bring something to share and say hello before you step into a setup.
