What it is
These are the same microwave heat packs that come in every Dubler HEAT, sold as spares, so a worn pack doesn't mean buying the whole chafer again. Revo says proper heating gets about 300 uses per pack, which is a lot of Saturdays, but not forever.
Microwave a pack at home until it just starts to swell, 2 to 5 minutes depending on your microwave, set it in the Dubler, add pans hot from the oven and close the lids. Each pack is a 12 × 8 inch slab filled with what Revo calls a non-toxic cellulose sponge and water. Revo says they also freeze, so the same pack chills a tray in September. They fit the Dubler only, not the Party Barge, and heat packs can't be returned.
Need the cooler too? The Dubler HEAT comes with two packs. Buy these only if you already own a Dubler or want a second set.
Why we picked it
No sterno, no flame, no fuel runs.

2 Microcore heat packs.
How many times can I reuse a heat pack for food?
About 300 uses, per Revo, if you stop microwaving as soon as the pack starts to swell. Overheating can make it leak, and Revo doesn't warranty that.
Can I return them?
No. Revo doesn't accept returns on heat packs, so make sure you have a Dubler or Dubler HEAT first.
Care
Microwave until the pack just starts to swell, then stop (2–5 minutes, depending on your microwave). Handle it carefully while it's hot.
