Can you grill at Coastal Carolina tailgates?
Yes, gas grills only. Charcoal is banned, and no grills of any kind are allowed in the student tailgate area.
Can you drink at Coastal Carolina tailgates?
Coastal's 2026 parking page doesn't post an alcohol rule for the paid lots. The student tailgate area bans kegs and glass, and alcohol sales inside Brooks Stadium end after the third quarter.
Do you need a ticket to tailgate at Coastal Carolina?
Coastal doesn't post a ticket rule for tailgating, but every paid lot needs a season or single-game parking pass. Teal Town is billed as the pregame stop for students, alumni and fans.
How do you buy parking at Coastal Carolina?
Buy a season or single-game pass on the athletics ticket site, or call the ticket office at 843-347-8499. Coastal says buying ahead saves time and money over paying on site.

Where to park
Every paid lot sits within walking distance of Brooks Stadium or on a shuttle loop, and every one needs a pass.
- Closest lots
- Lot QQ wraps the east side of the stadium. The EZ lot is the endzone tailgate lot.
- Campus lots
- A, B, C, J, M, P, R, S, AA, GG, HH, KK and UU (Arcadia), plus II and E (Select Parking), all with a season or single-game pass.
- Shuttle lots
- YY (Select Parking) south of the stadium off Hwy 544, and HGTC across U.S. 501, both on game day shuttle loops to the TD Sports Complex.
- Accessible
- Lot DDD across U.S. 501 is the primary ADA lot, free with valid ADA credentials, with an ADA shuttle to Gate 4.
- Your space
- One vehicle per pass and one space per vehicle. Don't take more spaces than you paid for.
Coastal says maps get updated during the season, so check the parking map again before each game.
On school-day games, campus lots have restrictions from early morning, and cars left in the wrong place can be towed.
No car? Rideshare drop-off is at the Wall Building, 119 Chanticleer Drive, near Brittain Hall and the HTC Pond. Every game day shuttle is ADA accessible and runs continuous loops.

Coastal's lot rules are short. The grill rule is the one that changes your packing list.
- Grills
- Gas only. Charcoal is banned, and no grills of any kind in the student tailgate area.
- Your space
- Tailgate in your space or the green space next to it, and don't block traffic.
- Not allowed
- Platforms more than 2 feet high anywhere in the tailgating areas.
- Students
- Set up 5 to 8:30 p.m. the night before. Tailgating starts no more than 3 hours out and ends 45 minutes before kickoff. No kegs, glass, open fires or grills.
- Passes
- Coastal can revoke a pass if you don't follow instructions.
- Bags at the gate
- Clear, up to 12 x 6 x 12 inches, or a 1-gallon clear bag, plus a clutch up to 4.5 x 6.5 inches.
- Gates open
- 90 minutes before kickoff. No coolers, outside food or drink, umbrellas or flags inside.

Where the party is
Coastal rebuilt its game day for 2026: Teal Town and a new student tailgate now sit together south of Brooks Stadium, with a new tailgate area between the Indoor Facility and the stadium. Gas grills only, one space per pass, and the Chant Walk runs right through the middle of it.
The free party
Teal Town
The pregame fan zone on the southeast side of the stadium, from 3 hours before kickoff to 30 minutes before, with a beverage tent, food, a kids zone, merch and the pregame radio show.
The moment
The Chant Walk
The team walks from University Boulevard through Teal Town and the new tailgate areas, past Lot QQ and into Gate 1, about 2 hours 15 minutes before kickoff, with the band, cheer and dance squads in front.
The alumni stop
Alumni TEALgate
In Blanton Park before kickoff. Alumni and guests can bring their own drinks, snacks, coolers and lawn chairs.
What to eat
Gas is the only grill fuel Coastal allows in the lots, and Teal Town sells food and drinks if you'd rather travel light.
Getting out
Two highways border campus, and every lot empties at once. Your options, best first:
- Ride the shuttle back. Game day shuttles run continuous loops to YY, HGTC, the Student Union and the ADA lot.
- Use the rideshare spot. The Wall Building on Chanticleer Drive is the official drop-off.
- Floor it onto 501 at the final whistle. So will everyone in teal.
