Not posted for regular-season games. Shuttles run to Panther Stadium from 3 hours before kickoff until 2 hours after the game, and the gates open 2 hours before kickoff. For homecoming, the official site lists Tailgate Lots 95 and 96 and the Grass Lot opening on the Wednesday of homecoming week.
Can you grill at Prairie View tailgates?
Prairie View's RV lot rules keep grills inside your space and allow fires only in fire-proof containers that someone attends. Fires built on the ground are banned, and coals and grease never go on the ground or into drains.
Can you drink at Prairie View tailgates?
Prairie View doesn't post a regular-season lot alcohol rule. For homecoming, its official site says no open containers or outside alcohol, and that open containers in public break Texas law. No alcohol comes into Panther Stadium.
Do you need a ticket to tailgate at Prairie View?
Prairie View's pages don't say so. Reserved lots need a printed permit, RV spaces need the permit holder at check-in, and game tickets are scanned at the gate with no re-entry.
How do you buy parking at Prairie View?
Event parking is paid on ParkMobile by zone, with prices that vary by lot. Reserved lots (Silver, Yellow, Purple, Red, Health Center and the Tailgate Lot) need a printed permit, and RV spaces are bought through PVAMU Parking Services.

Most fans pay by zone on ParkMobile. Reserved lots and RV spaces need permits bought ahead.

- Event parking across campus, paid in the ParkMobile app by zone. Price depends on the lot.
- Reserved
- Silver, Yellow, Purple, Red, Health Center and the Tailgate Lot, each with a printed permit.
- RV
- Through Parking Services. For regular-season games, Lot 95 mixes RVs and cars. The permit holder has to be there at check-in.
- Not in RV lots
- Party buses, trailers, vans and keg vans that aren't TxDOT-recognized RVs. No tailgating in an empty RV space.
- Homecoming
- Tailgate Lots 95 and 96 and the Grass Lot. Homecoming parking is first come on ParkMobile, with no prepaid parking.
- Accessible
- For homecoming, accessible parking is in Lots 80, 86, 92 and 75.
Pay on ParkMobile before you walk away from the car. Violators get towed.

- Grills
- Inside your space. Fires only in attended, fire-proof containers, never on the ground.
- Generators
- Inverter type, or fitted with a noise device. Over 75 dB at your neighbor's space and it gets shut off.
- Your space
- Furniture, grills, cords and dishes stay in your space. Drive lanes, sidewalks and fire lanes stay clear.
- Pets
- None in RV lots or tailgate sites, including emotional support animals. Service animals are OK.
- Trash
- In the bins or take it home. Grease and coals never go on the ground or in drains.
- Driving
- 10 mph or less in the lots. Don't move barricades.
- Bags at the gate
- Clear, up to 12 x 6 x 12 inches, a 1-gallon clear bag, or a clutch up to 4.5 x 6.5 inches.
- Gates open
- 2 hours before kickoff. No re-entry, and no glass, coolers or outside food inside.

Getting out
Prairie View doesn't post a regular-season traffic plan. Your options, best first:
- Ride the shuttle back. Shuttles run until 2 hours after the game. Let the lots clear while you ride.
- Hang back at your space. Pack up slow and keep the drive lanes clear.
- Head for US 290 from the main entrance. University Drive meets the highway at the south edge of campus.
