What it is

At a night kickoff the cooler is a black box, and these are how people find it, and find their own drink in it. Revo's cubes switch on with a push button, so they glow buried in ice; liquid-activated cubes only light when they touch a drink and sit dark under the ice, which is the difference you're paying for.

Each push steps through seven colors and a flashing mode, so the crew's cooler doesn't look like the one next to it. Revo says the shell is sealed and food-safe, so a cube can go in a drink, and they freeze for a little extra chill. Revo puts battery life at about 18 to 28 hours, which is several night games. The batteries can't be replaced, and light cubes can't be returned.

Which cooler? They work in any of them. They're the add-on that makes the bar on a Dubler easy to spot after dark.

Why we picked it

Find the beer in the dark.

Push the button and each cube glows one color or cycles through all of them. Revo says push-button cubes work in ice, unlike cubes that only light up in liquid. They're sealed, so they're safe in drinks.

Details and questions

What's in the box

12 light-up cubes.

Do these light up ice cubes work in a cooler full of ice?

Yes. They're push-button, so they light up in ice, not just in liquid, Revo says.

How long do the batteries last?

About 18 to 28 hours, per Revo, and longer in blinking mode. The batteries can't be replaced, and Revo doesn't take returns on light cubes.

Care

The batteries can't be replaced. Turn the cubes off between games to stretch the 18 to 28 hours Revo quotes.
