At 8:45 a.m. before a 10 a.m. kickoff in 2023, a Boise State fan had about 50 strips of bacon and a pan of hash browns going, and the Idaho Statesman noticed that brats had given way to bacon and burgers to breakfast burritos. Two friends had sausages on for 30 to 40 people under a blue picnic tent, there were mimosas, one crew tailgated aboard a double-decker bus, and kids snagged whatever bacon they could. Then you walk in to the blue turf, which looks even bluer in person.
