Tailgating at Joan C. Edwards Stadium

Sausage muffins, egg casserole and "a little bit of everything" were on the spread at a Huntington regular's tailgate in 2023: "We're here every week, come on down, we're here to serve. Go Herd." A Kenova fan hosting a big tailgate for the cheerleaders said, "This is my hashbrown casserole and I made it like 5 this morning." At the 2025 opener, hundreds of tailgaters stayed out in the rain over tables piled with food, drinks, music and televisions, and freshmen talked up barbecue, brisket and "a couple pepperoni rolls." Visiting N.C. State fans in 2018 said a man apologized to them for the rain.

The lot answer

Marshall tailgates in the season lots around the Joan, from the East Lot and the Church Lot by Gate C to the Big Green, Softball, Baseball and Maple lots, and in the 6th Ave. Lot, the Hal Greer Lot or the Engineering / RV Lot behind the Engineering Complex with a single-game pass bought at the entrance.
