What it is
The grass lot past the soccer fields is a long way to drag a cooler, and the Luxel 500W is the folding electric wagon for it: squeeze the trigger on the handle and the 500W motor moves up to 250 lbs at walking pace, up to 3.4 mph, forward or in reverse, per Luxel. Luxel says the 9-inch balloon wheels are made for sand, grass and gravel, and that it rolls like a regular wagon if the battery runs out.
It runs on two 18V 4.0Ah batteries (both included, both required) and goes up to 3 miles on soft sand per charge, according to Luxel. The battery box has USB-A and USB-C ports. The basket holds 150 liters, and the wagon folds upright without tools. Luxel covers the frame, motor and electronics for a year and the batteries for 3 months.
When not to buy it: on a paved lot with a short walk, it's more wagon than you need. Most people should get the Luxel CEC-2BR: it's motorized, its top becomes a table when you get there, and it's $260 less. The 500W wins on sand, grass and gravel and for the heaviest loads. If your walk is short and flat and you'd rather pull, the Luxel folding beach wagon is $129.

What's in the box
The wagon and its liner, 2 × 18V 4.0Ah batteries, 2 chargers and Instruction manual.
Does an electric wagon for tailgating need both batteries?
This one does. Both 18V batteries have to be in and charged for powered driving. With no power, Luxel says it still rolls like a regular wagon.
How far does it go on a charge?
Up to 3 miles on soft sand, per Luxel's spec sheet. Some of Luxel's photos say 5; we go by the spec sheet. A full charge takes 4 to 5 hours.
Does it have a parking brake?
No. Luxel says to keep a hand on the handle on slopes, so park it on level ground in the lot.
Care
Both batteries must be in and charged to drive (4–5 hours). Luxel rates it IP65: fine in a splash, not for heavy rain or standing water.
Shipping, returns and warranty
