What it is

The wagon gets your gear to the spot, then becomes the table you didn't bring. It's the one wagon here with a slatted top that drops on at the spot, so the cooler lid stops being the counter.

Luxel says it pulls up to 220 lbs over gravel, grass and stone paths, forward or in reverse, and goes up to 3 miles on a charge, so one charge on Friday night covers most walks in and back. The tank-style wheels are rated for those surfaces, not soft sand. Step-on brakes on the front wheels keep it from rolling down a sloped lot while you unload. The bed holds 200 liters, about 211 quarts, so a 50-quart cooler takes up only part of it. It weighs 24 lbs and folds small enough for a trunk. Luxel covers the cart for 12 months and the battery for 3, so give it a test run the week it arrives, not the night before the opener.

CEC-2BR, 500W or the beach wagon? The CEC-2BR for pavement, gravel and grass, and for the table. For soft sand and the heaviest loads, the Luxel 500W. If your walk is short and flat and you'd rather pull, the Luxel folding beach wagon.

Will this motorized folding wagon work on sand?

Not well. Luxel's own FAQ says electric drive alone doesn't make a wheel right for soft sand. For sand, the Luxel 500W with balloon wheels is the better pick.

Does the tabletop come with it?

Yes. The tabletop is in the box with the battery and the power adapter.

How much does it carry?

Up to 220 lbs, per Luxel, in a basket Luxel rates at 200 liters. The wagon itself weighs 24 lbs.

Care
